I've been busy over here trying to decide what to create next and then it hit me. I have this photo I took last summer in Santa Monica and I can never stop staring at it. Literally. It's the background of my computer, phone, and iPad. I am a little obessed with it. Looking at it again and then staring down at the selection of canvases, that I've stocked piled from a HUGE sale Michaels was having before Christmas, and over to my gouache paints...it hit me. What if I do a variety of paintings that reflect different beaches in California?? Yes, perfect!
I lived in California for a little over two years so I have the idea of what colors would be associated with each beach that I've been to while living in the hot sun shine state of California. I've completed three of the ??? I'm going to paint to reflect each beach and they should be all up and ready by the end of the week, hopefully.
This has been a long time coming for me because I've been having artist block with painting for a long time and I'm happy to finally be out of that block and into something I'm very passionate about.
